Kate Warner, Energy Planner at Martha’s Vineyard Commission

With a 2022 Vision Fellowship award, Kate Warner became the Energy Planner at the Martha’s Vineyard Commission (MVC). Kate’s goals included the (i) identification of metrics/statistics for energy determination, and (ii) the identification and implementation of energy planning projects. Among other accomplishments during her almost three-year term, Kate developed a robust database by working with energy providers and wholesale transportation entities such as the Steamship Authority and large suppliers such as the Packer Company. She arranged the successful and informative Ferries Now event (see link below for an MV Times article) and created the MVC’s Getting to 100% Renewable report, which can be found on the MVC’s website.(https://www.mvtimes.com/2023/04/03/ferries-now-highlights-need-electric-ssa/)
