Keissila Cecilio
Keissila Cecilio is a senior Biology major and Neuroscience minor at Elon University, preparing for a future career in medicine. She is passionate about equitable healthcare and hopes to become a physician who advocates for vulnerable and underserved patients. Her interest in medicine began on Martha’s Vineyard, where she earned her CNA license in high school and worked at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Since then, she has continued to build clinical experience, engage in undergraduate scientific research, and pursue leadership opportunities on campus. At Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, Keissila was president of Model UN, Grassroots, and Best Buddies, and served as a student leader for the Martha’s Vineyard Commission. The values she developed through those roles, including service, responsibility, and commitment to community, remain central to her goals as an aspiring doctor.
