Lorena Crespo

Lorena Crespo, a 2017 Vision Fellow, earned her Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Teaching through Fitchburg State University on-Island, which is affiliated with Adult and Community Education (ACE MV). Lorena accomplished this goal while working full-time at Martha’s Vineyard Community Services Head Start program, teaching Spanish through ACE MV, and starting a new part-time job teaching Spanish at the MV Public Charter School. Lorena subsequently earned a Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate through Simmons University in 2020. Lorena is originally from Ecuador. She has been a language teacher on the Island for nearly a decade and currently works as a Spanish teacher at the Tisbury School. She also teaches Spanish to Islanders for ACE MV.
