A 2019 Vision Fellow, Haven Huck earned her MSW with a concentration in trauma and violence, graduating with honors from Boston University School of Social Work’s Online Graduate Program for Clinical Social Work in August 2021. During her three-year program, she completed two on-island field placements: one at Island Counseling Center, where she worked as a clinician, and one at Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School (MVPCS). After graduating, Haven accepted a position at MVPCS and continued her work as an adjustment counselor. In 2025, Haven transitioned back into outpatient therapy, where she has continued to specialize in anxiety-related disorders. She now works with children, teens, and adults, supporting many individuals on the island as they navigate mental health concerns. Haven will be taking her final LICSW exam in fall 2026 and plans to start her own practice as a clinician while also providing supervision to others pursuing their social work degrees.
