Jessie Kanozak Holtham

In 2011, in collaboration with the MV Shellfish Group and participating restaurants, Jessie Holtham launched the MV Shell Recycling Project. The Shell Recovery Partnership included local restaurants committed to reducing bulk shell waste from dumpsters in an ultimate effort to return shell to the seafloor to replenish the Vineyard’s wild oyster habitat. The Martha’s Vineyard Vision Fellowship allowed Jessie to continue public education about the importance of our native, limited shell resource and to keep saving those shells!
