Oona Carroll

Oona Buresch Carroll is a 2024 Vision Scholar interested in island ecology and conservation. For the past few summers, Oona has worked with BiodiversityWorks, and she joined the team full time for the first time during the summer of 2025. At BiodiversityWorks, Oona assists with monitoring and protecting beach nesting shorebirds, monitoring island bat populations, and surveying northeastern beach tiger beetles. Now she is interested in learning about ecology in order to better understand and protect our island ecosystems. She is currently studying biology at Mount Holyoke College where she also enjoys riding horses on the Western Riding Team.
