Nora Wilcox

A 2007 Vision Fellow, Nora Wilcox has built a career rooted in community, service, and thoughtful leadership. She earned her master’s degree in social work with a focus on community planning, organizing, and development from the University of Chicago, School of Social Administration, in June 2009. Following graduation, Nora moved to New York City, where she worked at the Goddard Riverside Community Center, supporting chronically homeless individuals through a housing-first outreach model.

Nora was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and women’s studies from the University of Massachusetts (2002). In the fall of 2018, she and her wife returned to the Island. Nora now serves as the administrative director of the Chilmark Preschool, continuing her long-standing commitment to building strong, inclusive communities
